Minos Hotel
is a three star plus complex, located in Rethymno,
very close to the beach and within 15 min. walking
distance from the town centre. The hotel started
its operation in 1976, but since then numerous
extensions and renovations have taken place (last
one 1998-2001). The complex is ideal for families
and couples of all ages.
Accommodation
It has 170
rooms, all with private bathroom with bath or
shower, hairdryer, radio, TV (satellite), direct-dial
telephone, fridge, safety deposit box, central
heating and air conditioning (during July - September,
certain hours) . All of them have balcony or
terrace overlooking the sea or the swimming pools
and the gardens.
Food & Beverage
The hotel
disposes of the Lobby bar Bacchus, a Pool bar
with various snacks, a Cafeteria area with pergolas,
the Pool restaurant Dionysus for lunch (a la
carte menu) and the Buffet Restaurant Ambrosia
for breakfast (buffet) and dinner (rich buffet
with hot and cold starters , desserts and a choice
of 3 different main courses served at the table).
Ambrosia restaurant also serves Greek and International
cuisine, special diets and vegetarian meals.
Sports & Leisure
The Minos
hotel offers to its guests 2 outdoor swimming
pools (umbrellas and sunbeds available, free
of charge), table tennis, video games, tennis
court (illuminated), darts, water polo at the
swimming pool, outdoor chess with big pawns and
a day & evening time entertainment. Day-time
activities: gymnastics, water gymnastics, water
polo, table tennis tournament, backgammon lessons,
scuba diving lessons in the swimming pool, boccia,
darts tournament, Greek cooking lessons, Greek
dances lessons and Greek language lessons. Evening
entertaiment: Greek evening with live music and
dancing group, magic show, crazy show, disco
night, pool party, funny games, piano music,
