The Marina
Beach Hotel is situated in the middle of the
northern coastline of Crete. It is an A class
hotel located on the beautiful beach of Gouves,
just 16 km from Heraklion. The clientele of the
Marina comes from most European countries. A
number of guests return year after year.
Accommodation
With 310
rooms in the main building and 90 bungalows,
the hotel has a total of 400 rooms. All rooms
are comfortable, spacious and tastefully furnished
with refrigerator, air-conditioning and hairdrier.
The bungalows are very comfortable and from an
architectural point of view are designed to look
like a typical Cretan village and are ideal for
family accommodation.
Amenities
The Marina
Beach Hotel has four swimming pools - two open
air, one heated and one for children. There is
a Jewellers shop, a mini-market and a hairdressers
salon to cater for our guests needs - all at
reasonable prices.
Entertainment
The amphitheatre
is the place where our guests can watch a carefully
composed programme put together by the hotels
entertainers. The Wine Festival is an original
recreation of the way the Cretans have been making
their famous Cretan wine for many years. It is
organized during the summer season where free
samples of bottled Cretan wine, as well as the
best vintages of mainland Greece and the Peloponnese
are distributed to our guests.
Facilities for kids
For our
many smaller guests - the children, there is
a mini club, their own playground and swimming
pool, so they can enjoy their holiday in their
own familiar way. Childrens parties, shows and
a lot of games are organized by the hotels competent
governess.
Bars and Restaurants
The central
bar is a fine meeting place for our guests. They
can enjoy their drinks to the sounds of soft
music, get acquainted and make friends or even
organize joint outings. The snack bar offers
a rich variety of Greek specialities, for a light
meal or for something more gourmet. The pool
bar is located at the centre of the bungalows
complex, it is open every day to serve the needs
of each of our guests.
All Inclusive Food & Drinks:
Breakfast,
Lunch and Dinner are served in the rich buffet
style at the main restaurant. Following restaurants
are available: Ariadne restaurant, A La Carte
restaurant and Ta Nissia Taverna serving Greek
and International specialties (reservation required/
charge applies at selected restaurants). Locally
produced alcoholic drinks are served during the
meals (lunch and dinner). Main Bar is serving
various drinks such as ouzo, raki, and locally
produced alcoholic drinks. Pool bar serves snacks,
ouzo, raki, locally produced alcoholic drinks,
soft drinks, snacks and ice-cream. Locally produced
alcoholic drinks are available at Disco. Taverna:
please note that the all inclusive package does
not include the special dinner during the Greek
Evening.
All Inclusive Sports & Entertainment:
Pedalos,
canoes, Tennis court daily from 14:00-20:00,
table tennis, darts, mini golf, water polo, volleyball,
basketball, gym club (charges for sauna, steam
bath, jacuzzi ansd massage). Free sunbeds by
the pool and by the beach, free parasols by the
pool and by the beach.
Conference facilities
The Conference
facility of the hotel comprises a big hall of
310 seats, a small hall for press conferences
and a bar for serving the conference participants
during breaks.
