The Magda
is a four-star hotel built in 1993 in a modern
style. The atmosphere of soft colours and flowers
will make you feel relaxed and comfortable during
your holiday. The hotel is located in Gouves,
200 meters from the resort centre and 80 meters
from a beautiful sandy beach, where you can enjoy
a variety of water sports. With a friendly atmosphere,
comfortable rooms, excellent service and moderate
prices, the Magda hotel is the ideal place for
a memorable and enjoyable holiday
Rooms
The hotel
has 124 luxury rooms. All rooms are equipped
with comfortable furniture, satellite TV, direct-dial
telephone, air-conditioning (individually controlled
cold/hot air), hair dryer, radio, safety deposit
box (at local charge) and refrigerator (at local
charge). Each room has a bathroom with a bath
and a balcony with a nice view. There are also
family rooms with separate bedrooms.
Facilities
With our
comfortable sun seating areas, TV room, disco,
indoor heated freshwater swimming pool, 2 freshwater
outdoor swimming pools, fitness room, childrens
pool, sauna (at local charge), jacuzzi (at local
charge) and games room with pool table and table
tennis you will be able to relax or keep fit
during your holiday. You will also find a souvenir
shop, a supermarket and a conference room with
a capacity for 150 people.
Food & Drink
The well
decorated restaurant, bar and snack bar (a la
carte at extra charge) will make your stay pleasant
with Greek international specialities. Breakfast
in buffet style from 07:15-10:00. Dinner in buffet
style 18:30-21:30. Lunch is served at the snack
bar at the standard daily menu or in the restaurant
(as advised by the hotel). Ice Cream for children
from 10:00 to 22:00.
Sports & Leisure
The sports
centre offers tennis courts (at local charge),
basketball, volleyball, mini golf (at local charge),
fun ball, badminton, table tennis (at local charge),
boccia and archery. An international speaking
animation team will take care of your entertainment
with daily programs and night shows. Barbecues
(at local charge) and Greek evenings (at local
charge) are also organised. Our well organised
childrens club is open from 10:00-13:00 and 15:00-18:00.
Bar/Snack Bar
Drinks served
from 10:00-24:00 include soft drinks, filter
coffee, beer, ouzo, raki, brandy, wine by the
glass or carafe, whisky, gin, vodka, rum, tequila,
and some fruit liquers - served also as long
drinks. (All above drinks are produced in Greece).
Refreshments or juices (not fresh ones). Filter
coffee and cakes from 16:00-17:00. Ice Creams
for children from 10:00-22:00. All above drinks
are served only at the bars or in restaurant.
Drinks are not allowed to be taken away.
Useful information on
distances
The hotel
is located 14 km from Heraklion airport (HER)
and would take about 15 minutes in a taxi (costing
around £15), 16km from Heraklion and 6km from
Hersonissos.

charge include Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball,
Fitness room from 10:00-18:00 (reserve at reception).
Archery during animation hours, Boccia, tennis,
Mini Golf during animation hours, when it is
programmed.

Short walk to the beach. Excellent rooms with
air conditioning and fabulous food. Recommended
to couples and families looking for a good quality
