The former fishermens
village of Sissi has remained untouched all these
years. Around the small village centre and the picturesque
little port you will find shops, taverns, kafenions
(the traditional Greek coffeehouse) and only some
small hotels. At a distance of about 7 km, the archaeological
site of Malia, with its remainders of the Palace
of Malia, is a well known and popular excursion destination.
Located at about 10 km, the city of Malia offers
a small old town centre, shops, restaurants and an
animated night life. At a distance of about 35 minutes
from the airport (45 km), and at 900m from the village
of Sissi, directly at the sea, the Kalimera Kriti
Hotel & Village Resort has been constructed.
The hotel offers 415 rooms, including 141 suites
and 40 waterfront bungalows.
Accommodation:
The rooms, bungalows
and suites of the Kalimera Kriti Hotel & Village
Resort are individually designed and decorated, combining
elegance and comfort. Furnished in traditional Cretan
style, with air-conditioning and heating (in bungalows
individually adjustable, in main building centrally
controlled), featuring satellite TV, direct dial
telephone, radio / music, mini-bar, hairdryer and
safe deposit box.
Food & Beverage:
Greek night
with folklore dances, Fish and Barbeque evenings
are weekly events at a charge. Furthermore our professional
animation team organizes daily activities the whole
day for our guests and their children. The Snack
Pool Bar situated between two swimming pools, provides
a magnificent view of the sea and offers a variety
of refreshments, drinks and light snacks. The Cafeteria
is located in the Shopping Centre where you can also
find a jewellery shop,a gallery, a furs and leather
shop, a mini market and a boutique. Situated next
to a huge natural cave The Kafenion gives you the
opportunity to enioy traditional Greek coffee as
well as the famous Cretan raki and sweets. Carefully
chosen cuisine, large verandas overlooking the swimming
pools, the sea and the sunset, and the smiles of
a perfectly trained staff are the main characteristics
of the APHRODITE and the two ARTEMIS Restaurants
of Kalimera Kriti. Gourmet and seafood specialities
are served ? la carte at the Taverna DIONYSSOS. .
. . . . Breakfast comprises of a rich American buffet.
Dinner offers a large variety of starters, salads
and desserts from buffet. The main course (choice
of 3 menus, one vegetarian) is being served. Guests
who wish to eat a la carte in the Tavern instead
of taking their pension meal will be given a price
reduction on their bill. Diet cooking on request.
At dinner, appropriate dress is required (no shorts,
sleeveless tops.)
Sports & Leisure:
6 tennis courts
(hard), 2 squash courts, a mountain-bike station
inside the hotel premises, and facilities for table
tennis, beach volley, mini golf. A large variety
of water sports and instruction possibilities comprising
of water-skiing, surfing, diving, parasailing, jet
ski, pedal boat, canoe, banana boat and tubes. All
sports facilities and instruction, except tennis,
table tennis and beach volley, are against a charge.
Day and evening animation activities. Several times
a week special evenings are organized with live music
or disco-night in the natural cave, or Greek folklore
programmes. Video and electronic games and billiards
at a charge.
Childrens Entertainment:
Daily morning
and afternoon programmes for children of 4 years
and older. Special programme for adolescents during
High Season. Mini-club area with childrens playground.
