Hydramis Palace
is a multi-building hotel complex named after the
ancient city of Hydramia. Situated on the beach of
Kavros, 5 kms from the village of Georgioupolis,
95 kms from Heraklion International airport, 55 kms
from the International airport of Chania and a short
drive from points of natural beauty of the western
part of Crete. Built in traditional architecture
style, it is enriched with a few modern water elements
such as fountains, private pools, and a large swimming
pool. The town of Rethymno, 16 kms to the east, offers
a huge variety of shops able to satisfy even the
most demanding of customers. A multitude of restaurants,
tavernas, bars and night clubs take care of your
evening entertainment. It interesting to pay a visit
to the Venetian Fortress as well as to the old part
of the city with its beautiful narrow streets. The
picturesque town of Chania, 55 kms to the west from
the hotel, boasts a beautiful port filled with a
large variety of outdoor cafés by the water
and its fish restaurants, together with a very lively
shopping area in the old part of the town.
Accommodation
There are 10
buildings connected with each other, combining modern
and traditional architecture and offering deluxe
facilities including lifts. The hotel offers a total
of 155 rooms. Each room has individual air conditioning
and heating, satellite and pay TV, direct dial telephone,
bathroom, internet connection, fridge or mini bar
(on request, payable locally), safe deposit box (payable
locally), balcony or terrace.
Meals
BREAKFAST: Full
American Breakfast Buffet. DINNER: Full Buffet with
salads, cold & hot appetizers, a large variety
of Cretan, Greek and International dishes, a variety
of cheeses, plus a buffet of pastry, seasonal fruits
and ice-cream. DRESS CODE: Gentlemen are kindly requested
to wear long trousers during the evening in all restaurants
and bars.
